About Schindler’s Factory
Oskar Schindler was a Germin entrepreneur and a member of the Nazi party. He saved over 1000 Jews by employing them in his enamelware and ammunitions factories. After WWII he was financially suported by Jewish relief organisations. He failed to succeed in other busineses after war.
Oskar Schindler died in 1974 and was buried in Jerusalem on Mount Zion as the only Nazi member.
However, Museum is mainly about World War II and everyday life during this dramatic period. Relationship between Polish and Jewish inhabitants. You will get to know the story of Podgórze Ghetto.
The motto of the exibitions is “The factory of memory”.
